An energized group of Lafayette volunteers had an exciting idea and made it happen: The Children’s Home Benefit Ride.

People caravaned by car, truck, church van, and (especially) motorcycles from the Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette to the site of the new Methodist Children’s Home of Southwest Louisiana, in Sulphur. Riders enjoyed 2 live bands, lunch, door prizes, a short program and a tour of the new facilities.
