Golf Classic Benefits Methodist Children’s Home in Southeast Louisiana
The Golf Classic is a scramble event with each four-member team competing for the lowest score.
Team members will each tee off at every hole and the best drive will be selected and played. All team players play from the same spot and this process continues until the hole is completed. The team records one score and moves to the next hole throughout the course.
The participation fee covers green and cart fees, food and beverages, and a generous donation to help the Methodist Children’s Home of Greater New Orleans.
Event sign-in is by 11:30 am at Beau Chene. Tee time is 12:30 pm.”
⛳️ Each year we are blessed with exceptional individuals who help sponsor our Annual Golf Classic Fundraiser benefiting our Children’s Home of Greater New Orleans. We spoke with last year’s and this year’s title sponsor, Chuck Viator, with Viator Wealth Management Group, LLC, a member of Wells Fargo Advisors Financial, about why the Children’s Home is so dear to his heart. We are so thankful to Chuck for being there for our kids and all those who help sponsor the Golf Classic! Chuck Viator Title Sponsor
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in new and unforeseen changes for all of us. Our agency and golf committee members are dedicated to navigating through the waves of COVID-19 to the best of our ability and with safety at the forefront of everything we implement in this year’s golf classic. We recognize that this is a fluid situation and we will continue to monitor the CDC guidelines as well as state and local government recommendations as we move forward in planning this year’s event. We will adjust our protocols accordingly and keep everyone informed as new information becomes available. Thank you for your continued support. For more information on our COVID-19 plan, please see the attached document.
We would like to pay Honor & Tribute to Bill Hornsby, who for many years was a major supporter and player in the Methodist Home Golf Tournament. Bill passed away this year and his presence will be missed by all that knew him and what he did for the tournament.
Bill’s enthusiasm was irresistible. We could always count on seeing him and whatever team he had assembled that year having fun and sharing their lives with us. His heart was in it for the children and he was a critical part of making the tournaments a success.
We will miss you, Bill. Our hearts hurt because of your absence. We are all better Christians from knowing you, trying to follow in your steps, and seeking Jesus in our lives.
Rest in Peace & know you were a GOOD & FAITHFUL MAN of GOD.
