Students gather.
See You At The Pole is a national prayer event! Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home is proud to have participated again this year. Students and staff met at the flagpole in front of our Howard School on the Ruston campus of LMCH. Since the national event encourages student leadership, it was a great opportunity for our newly elected, first ever Student Council to lead their peers in this time of prayer. This year’s SYATP theme is “WE CRY OUT – A generation seeking Him!” based on Psalm 24:3–6.

The morning’s events appropriately began with the students and staff reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Members of the Student Council then took turns praying and reading scripture aloud. There followed an open mic time for anyone who wanted to pray aloud to come forward and do so. Several students took the opportunity to pray for their families, fellow students, friends, housemates and staff. Ms. Lala Bell, an ELA teacher at Howard School closed the event in prayer.
