This spring the OWL Center has welcomed Community Bridges on several occasions. Community Bridges is a residential program for adults with developmental, physical, or mental handicaps.
There are nine residential homes scattered throughout northeast Louisiana; each is occupied by 10-12 residents and staff. Community Bridges visits the OWL bi-monthly with 50-75 residents, using the pavilion and field to create a fun-filled day. Some of their favorite activities include basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes! Several residents have had the opportunity to visit the barn and interact with the horses. They have also enjoyed fishing at the pond.
