Volunteers from WestRock serve dinner to our youth and staff.

One of the highlights of the year for our kids is the annual Fall Festival. Our recreation and OWL staff, combined with numerous other staff volunteers from various departments work together to make each year more special than the last.

Our youth can dress up in Halloween costumes if they want to and then they head outside to enjoy an awesome dinner on the grounds. Volunteers from WestRock (formerly RockTenn) in Hodge, LA spend the afternoon grilling  and cooking hamburgers, sausage and baked beans. Then as if that wasn’t enough, they serve the meal to our youth and staff! We are blessed that they continue to do this for us each year!

After dinner, the youth enjoy pony rides, cotton candy, a cake walk, a large Titanic blow up slide and a fun bouncy house. Volunteers from the community also help with game booths across campus.

Youth and staff alike look forward to this fun occasion each year as it signals the closeness of upcoming holiday celebrations and experiences.

Thank you to each and every person who had a part in making this year’s event so much fun for our youth.
