We are very grateful to the members of Lydia UMC who conducted their Annual Rummage Sale on Saturday, March 14th. As in the past, all proceeds ($3,000) were donated to support the work of Methodist Children’s Home of Southwest Louisiana, our residential center in Sulphur, Louisiana.
After hearing Mr. Doug Hall, the Home’s Development Officer, share information about our ministries to children and families, Mr. Paul Fontenot, Coordinator of Lydia United Methodist Church’s Annual Rummage Sale, offered a fine summary of their support, “As we listened to the situation of some of the children, we realized more and more that this is not just a Rummage Sale. We had a share in a holy work – the work of caring for widows and orphans.”
