The Piecemaker’s Quilt group recently donated 11 quilts for our youth on the Ruston campus. There is a sweet story behind the making of the quilts. Buddy Merritt of Heflin, LA, lost his wife recently. Mrs. Merritt had pieced together 11 quilt “tops”. Mr. Merritt donated the tops to the Piecemakers group in hopes that they would finish the quilts. The Piecemaker’s did just that and chose to donate the 11 completed quilts to Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston.
