Staff
Three certified PATH instructors provide the majority of instruction for horsemanship and therapeutic riding classes. With 60+ combined years experience in various disciplines, our instructors provide quality instruction in a safe and friendly manner. We also have a licensed counselor who co-facilitates our EAL sessions. Our incredible group of volunteers serve as side walkers and leaders for clients that need a little extra support.
Our Herd
Our horses are all ages, sizes, and breeds, but have one thing in common – hearts of gold! Most of our horses are donated or on long term loan and they are much valued members of our ‘staff.’ Program horses are carefully selected for their gentle temperaments, and go through an extensive evaluation and training process. Visit www.owlequine.com for more information about each of our incredible horses.
Other Residents
Our herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats provides endless entertainment, and a great introduction to livestock for younger participants. These pint sized goats travel to schools, nursing homes, and special events as part of our outreach program. Hitch, a potbelly pig, and Nugget, a Lowline angus cow, also love visitors!
