“Last spring I was approached by my supervisor about a horseback riding program the OWL Center offered. I am a teacher for students with significant disabilities, all of which have severe sensory issues as well as being very insecure in new settings. It was an amazing opportunity that I feel confident my students would never have had it not been for the OWL Center’s offer. I was more than excited to accept and was well rewarded. The staff was very kind and understand of my unique students. They worked very hard to help them be successful by the end of the program. They were willing to physically lift the students onto the horses, encourage them to face their fears, overlook their inadequacies, and build them up to be the best riders they could be. It was a life changing experience in many ways. My students overcame fears, learned many skills, and had lots of fun.”
