What a great mission we have!  “Guiding Children and Families Home to Experience God’s Love by Following the Teachings of Christ”.

The Departments which comprise Operations at Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services consist of Health Information Management (Billing), the Business Office (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Payroll), Human Resources, Staff Development, Plant Operations, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology.  I think of these departments as the “grease” that keeps the wheels of treatment turning smoothly at the Home.

The women and men in Operations work behind the scenes to ensure the staff who are performing hands on care, therapeutic services, and direct patient-related services have the tools and the resources they need to complete their jobs in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Effective Operations are key to the pursuit of our mission.  We offer vibrant, effective ministries across Louisiana because our Operations Team works diligently in the background to pay bills; hire, train and develop employees; clean the bathrooms; improve performance and processes; repair broken windows and perform so many other vital duties.  I am thankful every day for the dedication of the Operations Team at Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home and I am thankful to be a part of this Team.  We take our work very seriously because we know what we do impacts so many lives across the state.

Some members of the Operations Team may never see the faces of the children and families, many not hear the stories of how a resident has overcome trauma in their life, nor see the smile after being praised for doing something good, but this does not deter our actions. We know everything we do supports those employees on the “front lines”.  We know we provide the grease to the systems that make things run smoothly so lives can be changed and transformed.

For the Operations Team, supporting the mission of Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services may mean we get literally dirty in the process, but we not afraid to get a little grease on our hands so God’s Love can be shared with others!
