Each year our three children’s homes in Ruston, Mandeville and Sulphur care for 265 to 270 children and their families.  These are children whose needs prevent their care in communities or in group homes.  In 2014, we cared for 199 children in Ruston.

A few additional facts about our ministry:

  • We provided 42,692 days of care last year.
  • Our GED program has a 100% pass rate.
  • Sixty percent of our residents are in the custody of the state, while 40% of our residents are in the custody of their parents (privately placed).
  • In 2014 all our services combined touched the lives of 20,000 individuals.

This year we have expanded our Family Plus program from 5 sites to 24 sites throughout Louisiana.  Louisiana ranks 49th among states in child well-being.  Our services are necessary and we will continue perfecting our work and expanding our services to help Louisiana’s children and families.
