September 27, 2016 – Lafayette, LA   Methodist Foster Care of Lafayette announces receipt of its license as a Child Placing Agency from Louisiana’s Department of Children and Family Services.

Methodist Foster Care, which operates under Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services headquartered in Ruston, LA, is proud of this accomplishment. This license will enable the agency to continue to help foster children and families in the Lafayette and surrounding areas. Methodist Foster Care places children into approved homes with Therapeutic Foster parents. Therapeutic Foster Care is a family-based service which allows a child to live in a home with trained TFC parents while receiving intensive treatment from community-based providers of mental health services for their emotional and behavioral needs. Becoming a foster parent is a rewarding experience and great way to make a difference in the life a child.
