Angel Tree and Celebrating Christmas on our Campuses
It’s hard to believe it’s that time again, but we are so excited to be preparing for yet another year… Read More
After weather interfered with last year’s festivities, LMCH staff and youth were excited about a gorgeous day for our awesome Mardi Gras parade! Departments from across campus participated by building and decorating floats for the parade which began at the Family Counseling Center parking lot and made its way through campus to the Allen Career Center and back through again.
The parade was led by Lt. Hawkins of the Ruston Police Department in a decorated police unit complete with flashing lights and sirens. Following behind were fabulously decorated floats and four wheelers by Coach Missy and the Recreation staff, Clinical staff, OWL staff, Staff Development/CARE, and Howard School along with the John Allen Career Center, Krewe of Nursing, Quality Assurance, and motorcyclists Clint Driskill and Ronnie King.
Never ones to be outdone, our Admissions Team, Morgan Davis and Phillip McMillan, donned great costumes and a decorated ride! The youth lined the parade route to catch beads, candy, and cups donated from area businesses such as Newk’s, Raising Cane’s and Log Cabin. After the parade, a popcorn social was held in the gym to round out a successful celebration for the youth.
