Members of Sunrise Kiwanis of Ruston, recently donated more than 300 books to the new library at Howard School on the campus of Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home. The club members and Ruston High School Keywanette club members collected books to donate to the library, which opened for our students on Wednesday, February 3rd.

Director of Educational Services Danny Bell said students were excited for the opportunity to read books in the new library.  Bell said, “We wanted to be able to provide our students with books to check out and take back to their houses and also a comfortable space to read in at the school as well. A student who reads opens him or herself up to a whole new world of learning.” We are thankful to Dr. Janie Humphries and all of the Sunrise Kiwanis and Keywanette club members who helped collect books for donation to our new library.
