A peaceful divorce is all about choices, and FCC mediation can help!

Family Counseling Center has developed a program focused on Family Related Trauma.

With on staff mediators, trained in civil and family mediation, Family Counseling Center strives to provide a method of mediation that promotes communication and understanding with the overall purpose of maintaining family values by empowering individuals and families to navigate conflict in ways that build healthy and equitable interactions, relationships and systems.

Family Counseling Center staff are licensed professional counselors who are available for individual, child and family therapy prior to, through and following mediation services and divorce.

  • What the client can expect to achieve during mediation services: mediation is an agreement-reaching process in which the mediator assists participants to reach agreements in a collaborative, consensual and informed manner.
  • Provided paperwork/forms: At the conclusion of mediation, a Memorandum of Understanding or Memorandum of Agreement will be provided.

Family Counseling Center feels strongly that counseling services are a necessary component to family recovery following divorce. Individual, child and family counseling is available by licensed professional counselors prior to, during and following mediation and divorce proceedings. These sessions can be covered through insurance, sliding scale or United Way grant.
